Shareable non-diet books. A short list
These books are the cornerstone of my non-diet library. I hope you enjoy them.
One: Intuitive Eating. Evelyn Tribole & Elyse Resch
Noticing that diets had a huge psychological effect on their clients (and never lead to long-term weight loss) these culture-changing, revolutionary dietitians came up with a new approach.
Two: Anti-Diet. Christy Harrison
A thoughtful, brave, deeply researched rebuttal of most of what we think is true about weight and health.Â
Three: Body Respect. Lindo Bacon and Lucy Aphramore
This is the book I recommend most often. Challenging the way our culture treats bodies, this book brings an eyebrow-raising argument to why our narrative about size and weight needs to shift if we want to change long-term health outcomes for everyone.Â
Four: The F*CK IT diet. Caroline Dooner
Giving us a giggle at the ridiculous futility of dieting without losing any of the impact it has on life. A masterpiece that everyone should read.Â
Five: Just Eat It. Laura Thomas
Going deep into rejecting guilt and finding power. Understanding the evidence base at another level.Â
Â
Six: Landwhale. Jes Baker
An uncommon and brilliant autobiography of a fat girl. This should be required reading for all teachers and parents.Â
Seven: Raising Body Confident Kids: A practical workbook for parents. Emma Wright
A practical guide that takes you through 10 principles of raising body confident kids.

Enjoy.
